✨ April Recap: Big Changes, Smart Planning, and Expanding Beyond Disney

April brought a mix of important updates, smart planning strategies, and new ways to think about your military Disney vacation. One of the biggest changes this month came from Shades of Green going (mostly) cashless, including at the Front Desk—a shift that could impact how you handle payments during your stay. At the same time, we continued to answer one of the most common questions we’re seeing in 2026 planning: is the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket actually worth it? Understanding how it works—and what it isn’t—is key to deciding if it fits your trip.

We also leaned heavily into practical planning guidance, including how to buy military tickets long distance, how to choose the best rooms at Shades of Green, and how to build a trip that balances convenience, cost, and flexibility. As more families finalize summer plans, these details are often what make the difference between a smooth trip and a frustrating one.

Beyond planning, April added a wide range of new park guides, dining locations, and shopping stops across both coasts—from classic Disneyland attractions to Disney Springs favorites and relaxing resort dining. We also expanded further into Universal Orlando planning, with new guides covering discounts, hotels, and strategy for military families considering a split stay or a Universal-focused trip.
